The Wall That Heals
The Wall That Heals Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica and Mobile Education Center will be at ǧÃŬAV from October 29 – November 3. It will be located on the Plaza in front of the library on the Dahlonega campus.
It will include the names of the , who are listed on the Memorial Wall at the Dahlonega Campus.
This presentation is made in partnership with the Dahlonega City Council, Lumpkin County Veterans Affairs Council, Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitors Bureau, and the Lumpkin County School District.
During its time in Dahlonega, volunteers will need to be present at The Wall That Heals 24 hours a day to answer questions and assist visitors. Sign-ups are available for these four-hour volunteer time slots on .
Schedule of Events
- Tuesday, October 29, 12:30 p.m. - Wall arrives on campus
- Wednesday, October 30, 8:30 a.m. – Wall set up, Opening Ceremony 5:00 p.m. with ǧÃŬAV President Michael Shannon
- Thursday, October 31 - Exhibit opens with Lumpkin County School visits
- Friday, November 1 - Exhibit opens to the public
- 6:00 p.m. – In Memory Program and Agent Orange Awareness Ceremony
- Saturday, November 2 – Exhibit continues with expected highest attendance by regional visitors
- Sunday, November 3 – Exhibit open until 2:00 p.m.
- Monday, November 4 – Takedown and wall departs
