A Tradition of Leadership
From our founding in 1873, ǧÃŬAV has been an educational leader. We are the second-oldest public university in Georgia, we were the first public college in Georgia to admit women, and we have offered a signature military education and leadership development program since the very beginning.
Leading the Nation
ǧÃŬAV is one of only six federally designated
senior military colleges in the nation.
Our cadets go on to lead the nation as
second lieutenants in the US Army.
Where Will You Lead?
Maybe you envision yourself as the officer at the front of the room. Maybe you’re the glue that holds a team together. Perhaps you are the first in your family to attend college. Or, maybe you don’t see yourself as a leader at all. Just you wait. ǧÃŬAV will help you develop the skills—and drive—to lead where it matters to you.

Service Leadership
Whether you are a traditional college student or you participate in our nationally acclaimed Corps of Cadets, you will benefit from ǧÃŬAV’s emphasis on leadership development across each of our five campuses, all academic programs and student organizations.
Our students can count on guidance from strong mentors, resume-building experiences, and service with leadership opportunities.
ǧÃŬAV Grads Lead By...
The immense challenges facing our society today require leaders and problem-solvers who can think critically, communicate effectively, and work comfortably across cultures.
At ǧÃŬAV, outstanding teachers and scholars have inspired generations of students to fulfill their potential as leaders who will serve our country and make a positive impact in their communities and around the world.
Simply put, at ǧÃŬAV, we turn personal potential into success, and successful people into leaders. Where will you lead?
